For persons who have trouble transferring into and out of a bath tub, an Aquatec Bathlift can really make this much safer and easier. The Aquatec Bathlift is an ideal solution to help maintain a user's independence when bathing and reduce the chance of a common fall injury.

This rechargeable battery powered seat rises as high as 17", easily reaching the height of most bathtubs and lowers to within 2.5" of the bottom of the tub. When raised to top of the tub, side flaps unfold (hidden hinges protect from pinching) and rest on the top edge of the tub to create a wide seat for a stable and safer seated transfer over the edge of the tub and on to the seat. When the seat is in the fully lowered position, the seat back can be reclined 35 degrees to better enjoy soaking in the bath.

To operate the Bathlift, simply press and hold the down arrow to lower the seat smoothly and silently. Press the up arrow to raise the seat. The sealed hand held intelligent controller contains the rechargeable battery and includes an indicator light to alert the user to a low battery condition. The controller will not allow the seat to descend if the battery does not have sufficient power to lift the seat. Recharging is simple; just unplug the hand controller from the seat and plug it into its included battery charger. The lithium ion manganese battery recharges repeatedly without experiencing a memory effect, ensuring long term, reliable performance.

Bathlift seats are molded with a white non slip surface and include your choice of either a blue or white seat cover that unsnaps for easy cleaning or line drying between uses. All covers are made of durable PVC (with an added bactericide) and are machine washable in hot water. Some users may prefer to use the Bathlift without a seat cover. The Bathlift seat cleans easily with any non abrasive cleaner typically used for bath cleaning.

There are four models: the Aquatec Bathlift (use with standard tubs up to 26" across inside) and the Aquatec Wide Bathlift with larger side flaps that can extend to reach across wider whirlpool style baths (up to 33" across inside). For persons who need assistance or additional support to sit, both models can be upgraded to the "RSB" model that has side bolster back supports that help cradle a user.

The Blue Aquatec RSB Bathlift model is shown at the top of this page (white seat covers also available) and includes side bolster back supports. Also shown above is the accessory Rotary Transfer Seat with Transfer Board.

Models not shown are the Aquatec Wide Bathlift and Aquatec Wide RSB Bathlift that includes side bolster back supports. Wide models are similar in appearance but have longer side seat flaps, designed for use with wider whirlpool style baths.

The bathlifts have a capacity of 300lbs. Large suction cup feet hold the seat steady in a smooth surface tub but release easily when removing the unit. The seat is designed to be easily placed into a tub and disassembles into two compact parts that store or travel easily in the available accessory carrying bag.

The metal lifting frame of the Aquatec Bathlift is rugged, rust resistant, maintenance free and easy to clean with non abrasive cleaners.

For newer style, deeper tubs, accessory height adapters are available that lift the Bathlift in one inch increments, up to an additional 3".
